I've written this message in a state of shock, disbelief, and like many of us, disappointment—but not surprise. While we don't know what the aftermath of the elections will be, we've felt the effects of these ideologies since 2016. The changes in policies and societal shifts have rightfully caused us to question what's next.

We will all need a moment to grieve what could have been. My hope for you reading this is that in this process, you don't lose hope. The last 4 years have not been easy for any of us. Between life changes from the pandemic or the erratic job market, this news might feel like another drop in an overwhelmingly overflowing bucket. It does not matter if you decided to stay or leave the job market, my only wish is that you don't lose hope.

If there's one thing 2020 has taught us, it’s that we're able to get through difficult parts of our journey with the right community. My goal is for us to use Tech by Choice as a way for us to leverage community support strategically to allow us all to continue with our mission, while keeping our community’s safety on and offline as our top priority.

Our space will not become a target, and we will not be going anywhere. TTogether, we can find ways to safely and securely navigate all of this online and in person. I would love to have you join our private Townhall Meeting happening Nov 13th at 5:30 pm PT, where we will be able to discuss what our next steps will look like as a group. Members will get access to the password through our Slack and member website.
